Z-DATdump 3.2 is an expert tape backup solution that supports copying entire folders into any type of tape drives. It automatically creates tape backup to SLR, TRAVAN, DAT, MLR, along with AIT, DLT, QIC, DDS, or LTO tape drives with IDE, SCSI, or USB port. The program imparts user-friendly console to its functions, but it also can be controlled through command-line parameters, due to which it can integrated with other batch scripts or applications. It further enables you to create scheduled backups through Windows in-built task scheduler, or else Z-Cron, which also helps you control other tasks over PC. As the utility isn’t complex in respect to its features, it easily can be operated by an administrator, an employee and even a relatively novice user.
Easily installable and configurable, the Z-DATdump lets you define 5 dump lists, or else manually copy the selected data into the tape. The process goes much easier with the one-click dump function, using which you can form desktop shortcuts of the dump jobs for instantly commencing the tape dump task. The utility allows users to choose data for 1:1, or differential or incremental copy to the tape. You can even enable the Fast CRC check, if you want the copied data to be verified for completeness and integrity after tape dump. The interface of the program provides different options labeled as Logfile, Streamer, Show, Restore, Setup, Help, Check, and Dump. In addition, it even displays the drive status for its ready for the process or not. For setting the tape backup task, click over Setup button where you can set configurations for Tapedrive, Data selection, Program, License, and Autoloader. Altering the necessary settings, you can begin with the task by hitting Dump over the main screen.
